The One-Woman Play
The one-woman play Lost: A Memoir by Cathy Ostlere and Dennis Garnhum was performed at Victoria Hall April 13 and 14. It was directed by Christopher Moore. Ostlere (played by actress Karine Dion) travels to Madeira in search of her brother David, who was lost at sea. This emotional play is based on the poems and a true story authored by Ostlere herself. Her brother set sail from Ireland, heading for Madeira in August 1995 in a boat named Mugwump. He and his fiancée Sarah were never seen nor heard from again. The photograph in the background is the ship that Ostlere sailed on during her adventurous times before David's mishap.
